Blake Lively (Serena van der Woodsen) leaves the dressing room (trailer) in a pair of classic short sand UGG boots, and a black robe on the set of Gossip Girl last week. As anyone actually seen a pair of UGG boots on Gossip Girl? If so, please let me know which episode(s). We've had a number of photos from the set, but I've never seen them on the show, although I'm way behind in episodes.

heyy! i REALLY love your site, i've been wanting to get uggs for AGESS but i live in sunny Singapore and the weather is just too hot and humid for uggs but i've finally convinced the parents to get em for me, guess i'll save em for when i go on winter holidays or most prolly wear em in my room with the ac at 17 degrees hehe. but again thanks! think i'll get classic short chocolate:)
omg!!!!
im wearing my classic short chocolate uggs right now
good choice
and dont worry about it being to hot because if you're getting real uggs they are made of real sheep's skin and since the sheep when they're alive have to stay cool during the summer the boots wicks away moisture and keeps air circulating which keeps your feet cool
congrats on your first pair!!!! its so exciting!!!!
aww your so nice thank you! but we have the same taste so yeah, naturally:) a qns though is it hard to match with clothes?since it's chocolate.
i personally dont think so or its no harder than matching clothes with the chestnut boots because chocolate is darker so you can wear it during the winter which i always do
also since you are getting short ones you can wear them in the summer (trust me on that even if its hot :) which i do all the time with mini skirts and shorts and stuff
but i wear my uggs with everything
it was also smart getting chocolate over other colors because the skin on the outside doesnt get as easily dirty and the fur on the inside is dyed chocolate so it doesnt get easily as dirty
if u have other questions feel free to ask
Yeah great taste indeed, chocolate goes with anything and dirt don't show as well. It and chestnut are my favorite colors.......and yeah u can indeed wear them in summertime even tho i personally don't.
this is a great convo for me because im getting my first pair of uggs and i dont much about uggs in general and i'm not sure what kinds im going to get and now i might go with classic short chocolate!
but i do have one question i'm all for animal rights and i was wondering if sheepskin which uggs are made out of is actually a sheep's skin like people's skin. i've tried fake uggs and they're not nearly as good as the real uggs but i dont know if i want to be wearing a cute little sheep on my feet no matter how soft and comfy. what do you know/think about this?
The real Uggs are indeed made out of sheepskin and fleece. But from my understanding the sheep are used for food, they're not used solely for Ugg boots. This is part of the reason they're so expensive cause the Merino sheepskins aren't exactly a dime a dozen. i love little animals too, and i do realize one thing, my favorite animals, cats, are predators by nature and hunt other animals for food in the wild of course. Me, i don't believe in killing animals solely for their fur or for sport.
this is kinda getting confusing with all the anons, i'm the first anon and my name is yvette, the person who replied my comment may i kindly have your name? when you say you wear ur uggs in the summer even, what are your summers like?cos in singapore its bout 30 deg celsius everyday. we have summer all year long-_- thankss heapss:):):)
yeah a lot of anonymous ppl here. D: me, i live in Texas where summers are hot (around 100-105* F for the last couple weeks) u indeed can wear Uggs in hot weather but i usually don't wear them in temps above 80* F though i often wear them indoors when i have the A/C on. Don't know the other girl either but she must not live in a place as hot as this one. And i'm a guy-Uggs aren't just for the girls u know!
im jessica and i responded to yvette's comments. where i live in the summer it gets between 70 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit. i have four pairs of uggs the classic short chocolate uggs, classic tall chestnut, sunburst tall, and sundance II. all my other pairs of uggs beside the chocolate ones are tall and the sunburst and sundance even have the sheep's fur on the outside so its really hot. even when its 90 fahrenheit i still wear uggs because they help keep your feet cool because like xbinkyx explained uggs are made out of real sheep and the sheeps' skin are so perfect because not only do they keep you warm in the winter they keep you cool.
i'm a long time ugg wearer and its a lot of fun for me to answer your questions so if you have more keep on asking.
u have quite a nice selection there Jessica.....70 to 90*F in the summer?!? i need to move there! It was 108* today. D: Me i have classic short Uggs in chocolate and black, chestnut Ultras, tall chestnut Koolaburras and Minnetonkas, and chestnut, sand and black tall Emus. Ugg don't make tall boots for guys anymore so i had to go to other brands for those. Since i know both of your names, my name's Jeff. XD
hi jeff its jessica
i didnt realized uggs were actually made of sheep's skin i thought it was just the wool
its weird to think that im wearing skin right now (but it is really soft haha)
im definitely not going to throw away my uggs but how do fellow ugg wearers feel about this
yvette did you know this and what do u think of it
Yep, the suede on the outside is actual sheep skin while the fleece inside is Merino wool. You're esentially wearing sheep skin inside out, i know it sounds kinda weird, but it works! And don't throw away your Uggs by no means. Like i said sheep are used for food as well as boots. In some cheaper boots (like the low grade Emus) they use cow suede on the outside and sheep fleece inside. Our Uggs do have cow suede heel and sometimes toe reinforcements, though.
yvette here heyy jessica! apologies 4 slower replies due to our very different time zones, i actually did know uggs were make of sheepskin but very vaguely(thru my dutch family in holland) though that would explain the high cost of uggs. and honestly i'm not suprised as the quality is just so good! also i'm very sure that the way uggs are made do not involve any cruelty to animals. and wowww jeff and jess! you guys are total uggers!with quite a variety, no matter when i move to holland in a couple yrs time i'll make a collection of my own:):) whooo~!(though they are very expensive back in holland with bout 200 euros a pop i've checked for classic tall)
Yes i'm an "Ugger" lol. And it may not surprise u that i want more! About the only thing stopping me is the quest to accessorize my new truck which may end up curtailing my fall wardrobe budget. XD i'm not like a lot of guys, i like to have a lot of shoes and boots on hand and i LOOOVE Uggs. <3 Yeah Yvette get that collection started! 200 Euros for them in Holland? yikes. D: Here they're like $180 US for them. (last i checked)
xbinkyx,
Thanks for being kind and answering sooo many questions!!!
No problem Ibrahim~! Hey us Ugg lovers have to stick together. This is a great blog here, even though i'm a longtime Ugg wearer and lover i still find out new things.......great company here too.....
